New York Concert Festival Competition
This competition provides talented musicians with the world class experience of performing in the best concert halls of New York City.
It is designed to inspire young artists to follow their dreams and showcase their achievements in a competitive atmosphere.

AWARDS
All Winners, determined by the Jury Panel are awarded with performances in the best Concert Halls of New York City
and Certificates of Achievements.
  • GRAND PRIX
Grand Prix Winners are awarded with performance at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall, New York
and Certificate of Outstanding Achievement. (dates: 03/11/2018;  03/18/2018;  04/08/2018)
  • FIRST PRIZE
First Prize Winers are awarded with performance at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center
and Certificate of Outstanding Achievement. (dates: 03/24/2018;  04/14/2018)
  • SECOND & THIRD PRIZE
Second and Third Prize Winners are awarded with performance at the Engelman Recital Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center
and Certificate of Excellent Achievement. (dates: 03/25/2018;  04/15/2018)

Select Winners are awarded with:
  • Scholarships up to $1,500 ($500 per week) toward the Summer Tour
  • Simon Rose Award: $100 for the best performance of a work by an American Composer
  • Gene Maria Award: $100 for the best performance of a work by Russian Composer
  • The Best Ensemble Prize $200
  • Special Prize to the youngest performer in each concert

All teachers receive an honorable mention in the programs, complimentary tickets and awarded with a Certificate of Appreciation.

ELIGIBILITY
Pianists, Instrumentalists (Classical and Traditional Folk), Vocalists and Chamber Ensembles are welcome to apply.
Ages from
5 to 25.(Vocalists: 5 to 30)
There are multiple winners determined by the Jury Panel in different instrumental categories as well as age groups.

REPERTOIRE
One selection of your choice from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic or Modern period performed from memory. No repeats.
Ensembles may use music. Arrangements are welcome. The maximum duration of the performance is
6 minutes.
Multiple entries are accepted.

ACCOMPANIMENT
Instrumentalists and Singers are encouraged to provide their own accompanist.
An accompanist can be provided for an additional fee. Please apply.

AUDITIONS
There are two ways to audition:
  • Live audition
  • DVD/YouTube
Please be advised that auditions are NOT a guarantee that a performance opportunity will be granted. The decisions of the jury panel are final.

LIVE AUDITIONS
Auditions are scheduled upon receipt of the application and fee. Live auditions are open to the public.

DVD AUDITIONS
Performers unable to attend live auditions may submit a DVD recording of their performance.
Please make sure to write your name legibly on the DVD. Do not edit your recording. DVD will not be returned.

YOUTUBE AUDITIONS
Upload your video to You-Tube and send us the link by E-mail or mention it on the Application Form.

APPLICATION DEADLINES AND FEE
THE RESULTS OF THE AUDITIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED DURING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 5, 2018 BY E-MAIL.

PERFORMANCE FEE
(when selected):

Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall
Performance fee $270  includes 4 tickets and Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, additional tickets $65 each.
Ensemble performance fee
$140 per member includes 2 tickets and Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, additional tickets $65 each.
Note: According to Carnegie Hall regulations every performer needs a ticket.
         PHOTOS can be ordered for $60 - a set of three (3) high resolution digital pictures. NO VIDEO ORDERS.

Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center
Performance fee is $230 includes 4 tickets and Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, additional tickets $55 each.
Ensemble performance fee
$120 per member includes 2 tickets and Certificate of Outstanding Achievement, additional tickets $55 each.
         VIDEO (mp4 file on disc) & YouTube Link can be ordered for $60.

Engelman Recital Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center
Performance fee is $190 includes 4 tickets and Certificate of Excellent Achievement, additional tickets $45 each.
