The Island Chamber Symphony has been giving
concerts at various sites on Long Island for almost 30
years. ICS is most often conducted by founder/music
director Jeremy Niles Kempton. The orchestra is made
up of between 25 and 30 of Long Island's finest
musicians. The exact number and instrumentation
depends on the specific programs being presented.
We are especially proud of our policy of showcasing
gifted young artists, many of whom have gone on to
perform with orchestras such as the New York
Philharmonic, the Philadelphia Orchestra,  the San
Francisco Symphony, the Mexico City Symphony and
many others.
