Solo Recital
The Solo Recital competition is designed to provide the opportunity for aspiring musicians of all ages to perform a Solo Recital
at the Engelman Recital Hall at Baruch Performing Arts Center.
(55 Lexington Ave./ 24th St., NYC)

A beautiful, intimate and classic recital hall with a class D Steinway Concert Grand piano.
Known for having one of the best acoustic settings in New York City; it is the perfect place for rising stars to develop their craft.

CONCERT DATES
  • Sundays, March 25th and April 15th, 2018.

AWARDS
  • The First Prize Winner is awarded with a Solo Recital up to 30 minutes in length, the First Prize Certificate,
unlimited complementary tickets and DVD recording of the performance.
  • The Second Prize Winner is awarded with a Solo Recital up to 20 minutes  in length, the Second Prize Certificate,
unlimited complimentary tickets and DVD recording of the performance.
  • The Third Prize Winner is awarded with a Solo Recital up to 15 minutes in length, the Third Prize Certificate,
unlimited complimentary tickets and DVD recording of the performance.

ELIGIBILITY
There is no age limit. Pianists, Instrumentalists (Classical and Traditional Folk), Vocalists and Ensembles are welcome to participate.

REPERTOIRE
A program of your choice up to 30 minutes in length performed from memory.

AUDITIONS
Auditions by DVD/YouTube only. Please submit a recording of your performance up to 10 minutes in length, including contrasting
selections from your program. Make sure to write your name legibly on the DVD.
Do not edit your recording. DVD will not be returned.

APPLICATION & FEE of $300 (non-refundable) due by  February 4, 2018. There is NO performance fee.

THE RESULTS OF THE AUDITIONS WILL BE ANNOUNCED DURING THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 5, 2018 BY E-MAIL.
